About Grace Hecht

Grace Hecht, a true representative of Republican values, proudly took on the role of Bullhead City Council member in 2021, securing her election for a two-year term in 2022. What sets her apart is that she is the first council member hailing from Bullhead City, born and raised with a deep connection to her hometown. Her roots run even deeper with a family legacy of service to our great nation, dating back to the Revolutionary War. As a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Grace embodies the spirit of patriotism.

But her achievements extend far beyond her local community. Grace’s passion for humanitarian work has taken her to over forty countries, where she selflessly engaged in aid efforts and established English schools. In Peru she founded an English school where she managed ten teachers and 100 students. She firmly believes in giving back and making a positive impact on people’s lives.

Biography

Education has always been important to Grace. She graduated from Mohave High School in 2000 before pursuing studies at Mohave Community College and Calvary Chapel Bible College. Her commitment to learning continues, as she is currently working towards a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Grand Canyon University.

Grace’s dedication to public service is unparalleled. She currently serves on the Executive Board of the Western Arizona Council of Governments (WACOG) and plans to continue her involvement beyond the 2024 election. Additionally, she holds the prestigious position of President of the Bullhead City Morning Kiwanis Club, actively contributing to the betterment of her community. She has also founded Make Bullhead Better Inc., a non-profit organization focused on various community initiatives, including monthly clean-ups, food distributions, and support for senior citizens.

Her impressive track record includes serving on the Bullhead Area Transit Commission for two years and the Colorado River Women’s Council Board for another two years. Her commitment to advocacy and community development clearly shines through in her professional endeavors as well.

Grace has worked passionately with Westcare Arizona, championing causes such as domestic violence sheltering, children’s welfare, and abstinence education. She has also been an integral part of Bullhead City Government’s media and parks and recreation departments. Her dedication to education and community development led her to positions at the Mohave Accelerated Learning Center and Bullhead City Elementary School District.

Family

Grace’s strong support system includes her husband, Lee Hecht, a chemist and small business owner of Mohave Environmental Labs. They have been pillars of the Bullhead City community for over 25 years. Together, they are proud parents to three children, including a spirited kindergartner and an adorable preschooler. Sadly, they lost their son at just 22 months old, further fueling Grace’s determination to create a better future for young children.

Outside of her many professional achievements, Grace cherishes quality time with her family. She also finds fulfillment in exercise, travel, and artistic pursuits.

Grace’s outstanding contributions have not gone unnoticed. She has been bestowed various accolades, including the esteemed titles of 2023 Citizen of the Year for the Laughlin/Bullhead Community Achievement Awards and 2021 First Things First Champion for Young Children Award for the La Paz/Mohave Region.

– Karrie Brazaski, Local Business Owner

I met Grace Hecht a few months ago when my Boss Babes took off, she immediately embraced me and was 100% supportive of helping me in anyway she could. I’ve seen the events she puts on for the community, the time she puts in volunteering, she’s a mother of small children, she has also experienced the loss of a child, she understands that they are our future here! She gets hate and backlash and she still keeps a smile on her face and keeps going, many would have quit by now!!! I admire her and want to see her continue those same efforts for our city as Mohave County Supervisor District 2. Join me in helping her get there! She is a force to be reckoned with! Her dedication to hard work, motivation, and tenacity is truly inspiring. As a small business owner and founder of the “Bullhead Boss Babes”, I have seen firsthand how she encourages others to make a positive impact in our community. I am proud to endorse Grace Hecht for County Supervisor. Join me in supporting a true leader who will bring positive change to our county.

As Grace’s Government teacher I am immensely proud to see a Mohave High School Graduate apply the knowledge and skills she has gained to pursue a role as Mohave County Supervisor. Her dedication to public service and commitment to making a positive impact in our community are truly impressive, and I have no doubt that she will excel in this new endeavor.  Grace doesn’t just talk about getting involved in the community but gives up of her own resources to help, encourage and inspire many.  I wonder if any other candidate shows up to all of the communities sports games, student fundraisers, and other community events.  She also lives by Christian values and holds to a Christian world view.  We can trust her to make decisions that will benefit the moral character of this county.

Grace isn’t just another politician -~she’s one of us, a true conservative who genuinely cares about our community and has consistently delivered results. Her strong leadership and deep understanding of our values make her the perfect choice to represent hardworking Republicans like you and me.I Anita Hall fully endorse Grace Hecht for Mohave County Supervisor District 2.
